The Mumbai Police on Tuesday arrested a man for stopping Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan’s car in the morning. The police said the man had blocked the Singham actor’s car over his tweet regarding the ongoing farmers’ protest.
According to the police, the incident happened in Goregaon area of Mumbai. The accused has been identified as Rajdeep Ramesh Singh.
Singh is believed to be from Punjab and a backer of the ongoing farmers’ agitation demanding the repeal of the three new farm laws formulated by the Central government. Cops arrested the man after one of Devgn’s bodyguards registered a complaint with the police.
It may be recalled that Devgn was among the celebrities who had come out in support of the government’s farm laws and had tweeted on the same. These celebrities had backed the government after international personalities like Hollywood pop star Rihanna and climate activist Greta Thunberg had spoken out in support of the protesting farmers.
