Jathedar Speaks up on Dhadrianwala´s Statements

With the objective of amicably settling differences between the state government and the SGPC over joint celebrations of the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak at Sultanpur Lodhi on November 12, five high priests will hold a meeting on Monday.

Sources say the government has already clarified that the main occasion would be held under the tutelage of Akal Takht.

A number of meetings of coordination committee, comprising representatives from both sides were held in the past, but remained inconclusive. Tomorrow’s high priests’ meeting is expected to reach a conclusion which would not only decide upon the stage, but also finalise who all would be allowed to be present on the stage.
