What Dhadrianwala says on Sidhu Moose Wala

Punjabi singer-rapper Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu (29) aka Sidhu Moosewala’s latest track, Jatti Jeonay Morh Di Bandook Wargi, has run into a controversy over a reference to 18th Century Sikh warrior Mai Bhago, with the Shiromani Akali Dal demanding his arrest.

Within hours of the song being released on Youtube on Friday, leaders of the Sikh group Dal Khalsa handed over memorandum to Bathinda senior superintendent of police (SSP) to demand action against the singer. Social activist and former gangster Lakhbir Singh alias Lakha Sidhana and his supporters also reached the singer’s native village, Moosa, in Mansa to lodge a protest with his mother, Charan Kaur, who is the village’s sarpanch.
